Overview

The Diploma of Quality Auditing is suitable for anyone who wants to build a career as an internal auditor or participate in external independent quality auditing.

You will gain the skills to understand and build sound theoretical knowledge and develop a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate the entire audit process, report on feedback and facilitate continuous improvement.

Duration and Delivery

This qualification is delivered over a period of 430 hours. Participants enrolled in this course will have up to 52 weeks including holidays to complete the course requirements.

Format

This Diploma will be delivered using a blended delivery model with a combination of online learning and classroom delivery. Educators will be available to provide necessary support on request.

Location

Level 1/169 Plenty Road, Preston, VIC 3072. Practical placement locations as negotiated by ALACC with individual Providers.

Purpose

This Diploma qualification is designed to equip participants with the required knowledge & skills to conduct and report on internal audits within their organization or for external audit bodies.

Who May Attend

This management stream qualification is available to anyone who may be responsible for conducting or facilitating audit activities. They may work in a range of industries such as manufacturing and/or services.

Entry requirements

Nil

Although LLN test is not an entry requirement, students are asked to undertake the same to ensure appropriate academic support can be provided throughout the course of the study.

Assessment

Assessments will be conducted to determine the achievement of competency-based learning outcomes. Assessments may include written assignments, projects, written reports, workshop attendance and simulated workplace assessments.

Pathway

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:

  • BSB40215 Certificate IV in Business or other relevant qualification/s

OR

  • With extensive vocational experience in auditing and without formal auditing qualifications.

Examples of indicative job roles for candidates seeking entry based upon their vocational experience include:

  • Administrator
  • Project Officer
  • Quality Assurance Officer
  • External/Internal Auditor
  • Quality Co-ordinator

This breadth of expertise would equate to the competencies required to undertake this qualification.

Pathways from the qualification

  • After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake a qualification in a specialist area within this Training Package such as marketing, management, human resources.

Qualification Structure for Local Students

Diploma of Auditing requires successful completion of 8 units. These include 8 Elective Units selected from the A and B listing in the packaging specification as specified in the BSB Business Services Training Package. A choice can be made between units BSBWOR502 (online learning) and MSS407012A (face to face learning).
