JobTrainer is a partnership between the Victorian Government and Federal Government to provide low-fee training places for young people and job seekers.

Under the JobTrainer scheme, eligible students will pay only 20% of the standard tuition fee.

You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or asylum seeker to apply.

To be eligible for JobTrainer, you must be:

  • aged 17-24 at the time you start your course, or
  • be a job seeker of any age

If you are a job seeker, you must be able to demonstrate that you are a job seeker by showing either:

  • a current and valid Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran’s Gold Card; or
  • a separation certificate or redundancy letter from your employer; or
  • signing a declaration.

In addition, you must:

  • not have previously commenced a certificate or diploma under JobTrainer
  • must meet normal eligibility for Government-subsidised training but with two exceptions:
    1. You don't need to enrol in a course that is higher than the Australian qualification you currently hold.
    2. You are not restricted to the usual limit on commencing more than two courses at the same level in your lifetime.

Contact us today to see if you’re eligible.

Students can access up to one full qualification and one short course or skill set under the JobTrainer fund.
