Overview

The Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic is a computer-based test of English that can be used for visa applications, applying to study at University and for registration with a variety of professional bodies in Australia.
The test has a number of advantages:

  • Fast results, available within five business days.
  • Tests available over 360 days of the year.
  • 100% computer-based marking ensures that tests are graded fairly and consistently.
  • Accepted by thousands of Universities and accepted for all Australian and New Zealand visa applications.
  • Accepted by a number of professional bodies e.g. ANMAC, AHPRA.

ALACC’s PTE Academic Preparation course is designed to help students prepare for the PTE by studying the specific skills tested, using official practice material. This includes learning strategies for the different PTE items, and undertaking an online practice exam to become familiar with the test format.

Duration and Delivery

This course is comprised of 30 hours of lessons delivered over 8 weeks, as well as additional study tasks to complete outside of class.

Format

Face-to-face classes and practice tasks, focusing on skills and strategies for passing the PTE.

Location

Level 1/169 Plenty Road, Preston, VIC 3072.

Pre-Requisites

This course would suit students that have intermediate to advanced English. For example, IELTS band 5.5+.

Class Times

Classes are held Monday-Wednesday. Morning and Afternoon classes are available.
